My roos' wattles are quite a bit bigger and their top knots are much less developed. I don't have pics at the moment, but I'll try to remember to get a couple tomorrow.

Okay, I only did Star, the little pullet, tonight. I was very sparing with the scissors, knowing I could take away more but couldn't add back. I wouldn't use clippers. Tried that with Jethro the silkie and the noise made her freak.

I could tell when we had cut enough on Star. She squawked when she realized she could see.

Wanted to do Luna too, but when I had to actually move to catch him I realized he could still see somewhat. His poof is all spiky. He also has 1/4" long wattles, whereas you can barely see Star's.


Side note to Imp - The bear skin rug pic sounds exactly like what I was looking for. I'll deal with you later.

Ranchy, Polish are chickens for people with more refined tastes.

flnatv, as a matter of fact I do have two stalkers on this thread alone. I'd give you a hint, but it should be quite obvious.

Sounds like y'all have had WAYYYYYYYYY more fun on here today that I got to have!! Supposed to have had a barrel race, but got rained on instead. Just glad my daughter got the horses on the trailer before it poured! OH well, suppose I have to shut down computer and let hubby go to bed since he has to leave at 0530.
