I'm ordering through Cackle Hatchery - since I don't know where else to get all pullets (I don't need more roos).

Hubby told me to go ahead and buy them tonight - he is motivated by all the egg selling I've been doing lately

Cackles is taking orders Jan. 1st, so I'll be ordering then (not sure when they'd actually ship).

there's nothing like paying the feed bill with "egg money" to make Hubby want me to get more chickens

. After all, he is the one who builds all my coops

Fr. Chuck,
Do you plan on going to the Kentuckiana Show?
I hope to show there this May. My Bantam Cochins, maybe my silkie hen and my showgirl, and what ever else looks good in the Spring. Seems like a long way off! Winter months drag for me.
Also want to show at the Ky. State Fair this year have to look up dates, maybe the Ky. group can meet there this year.

I will be hatching and/or selling eggs from my Cuckoo Marans, Dominiques, Ameracaunas, Black Australorps, and Cornish Rock Cross Broilers a little closer to spring. If any of those are in your "want" bag, perhaps I can help.

Thanks, I'll check them out, too.

eta - I checked, and for pullets only it is 3.23 per chick, minimum of 25 chicks
cackle has them for 2.47 and a 15 chick minimum. Their prices are supposed to change before the Jan 1st date when they take orders, but I don't need 25, anyway (no room) so I'll probably go with cackle.
