I just want to remind everyone to check their spare occasionally. My mom had a flat last spring in the rain, and when we got the spare out from under the Yukon it was just as flat as the one with the nail in it

I'd say to check the spare every time you check the oil, or wash your car, or something you do frequently. Make it a part of your routine!
