Congratulations on 1. Being totally classy at the wedding and reception. 2. Refraining from stabbing the ex (you do realize that's the clinical definition of stress?) 3. Snagging a great fiance and future DIL. Not sure how well I would have behaved under those circumstances (I know.. I would have behaved.... BADLY) Ya done yourself proud.

Sounds like some jealousy from the ex. She may have upset you a bit, but think of how the jealousy is eating away at her.

You did a great job.. and yes it is probably still eating her alive that she was unable to get to you. Congrats on the engagement and just know that for the most part when someone like that is being petty and ugly (not just the red afro) in attitude that a smile is more of a weapon than words.

The other posters are right; it's a jealousy thing. She was trying to show there was still a connection (or rather trying to indicate there was one where there was NOT), and made herself look like a fool in the process. Take pride in the fact that you acted maturely and with restraint, and be blessed in your upcoming marriage!

If you are going to marry him you will have to get used to that action. Its the wedding, then the babies, the birthday parties,Holidays and there is no end. I have been thru this for years and finally we just withdrew and told our kids we would have get togethers at our house and they could get together with their Mom at her house. It was called to much togetherness! Sounds like you did well though and I did for a few times and then it was too stressful esp. when we showed up at one of the weddings in the same dress! I could have died!!! The kids actually confessed later that they were uncomfortable also, so it all worked out!
