I have really tried to ignore this but why is everyone picking on the original poster? They just wanted to share their story. I went out of my way to find the craigslist ad. Isn't that enough? So what if they made it up? Maybe they were lonely and just wanted someone to talk to. I don't really think it's a lie but who cares if it is? This is not the tell the truth or die forum. This is about meeting people that have a common interest. When I first came to BYC people did this to me and it hurt my feelings A LOT. So much that I really just never wanted to come here again. Why treat people this way? For me I decided to not let it get me down and I just moved on and tried again but maybe there are people out there that can't do that.

I know, I feel the same way and have had enough of it myself. Who cares? Let him say what he wants, he isn't hurting anybody and it may be that this is his only social outlet. I am on a beekeeping forum and there is one fellow who uses exclamation points after just about every sentence, it cracks me up. He is a nice guy and is abrupt and to the point, so he likes his !! None of us have ever said anything about it to him and he continues to enjoy our forum. I actually just saw a picture of him the other day and realized that he is an older gentleman and is probably fairly new at the internet forum thing and types like he talks.
Does anyone remember what some of the folks here did to Jesse Bryant the black copper king?
It was shameful and they were reprimanded but not until they tore the guy up and really hurt him and his wife who are the nicest people around.
They accused him of faking what he had and lying about the egg color and the pictures he posted etc.
Turns out he didn't know how to use the internet and he has his daughter help him when it was time to post, she made a couple of spelling errors and members here had a field day with him.
I actually had the pleasure to speak with them and to purchase some of his line and the birds are gorgous and they lay beautiful eggs.
Nobody believed him at first either. Lets not pick on anyone, especially over punctuation!!!!

I think people should be able to say what they want in a "social" environment (good or bad). Everyone is entitled to an opinion!

Cute story, thanks for sharing. And good for the post office for finding someone to take the birds. Better than any alternative I can think of.
