The second border liecester ewe lambed late this afternoon.

These babies are tinier than the other ewes have had. I was watering the geese when I saw the ewe milling int he barn and I kept wathing to see what she was doing. I saw one baby and then plop a second baby!

We got the stable ready quick. Momma and babies are doing great!

I am thrilled. They got teir BO-Se and probios. They are still drying off so we rubbed them down good again. They are warming up nicely.

Now what is it they have wrapped around them? Is it something to keep them warm? Something you crocheted?? they are just adorable!!!
Well, now I feel foolish!! The first photo hadn't come through when I typed this. Is that some kind after-birth fluid on them? the goldish stuff? sorry for my ignorance but would love to know what it is.

They were still wet. It's their lambs wool and some afterbirth birth goop. They are born very wooly. We tried to dry them off and we rubbed them down twice to them dry but they are still a little wet.
