Lame Duck Question..

Let me know if this works...

Have you heard her QUACK? I’m thinking it may be a drake. He/she doesn’t look overweight at all, so I don’t think it’s excessive body weight causing the stumbling. Now I’ve forgotten how many ducks you have? None of the others are experiencing anything like this?

It works. Bless her heart are you keeping her in small confinement so she isn’t over using her leg? What all are you doing for her is she taking any type of anti inflammation meds?

I have her in a dog crate just big enough for her to stand and turn around, get to her food and water. I only noticed the swelling today, so I haven't given her anything yet. I'm just trying to keep her safe and warm. What kind of anti inflammatory Meds can she take?

What makes you think it's a drake? I have heard her quack..there is no drake feather...I thought there had to be a drake feather?
I have four, and they all are the same size but she is the only one with issues.

Metacam but that’s with prescription or baby aspirin @casportpony can give dosage for that. The vent looks worrisome have to put anything on it I’d try coconut oil or prep h you want it to stay moist. Is a vet a possibility? Possibly rest will help the leg if it’s not something more than a sprain

May not be old enough for drake feathers yet. I asked because of the sound it was making. Sounds more raspy like a drake instead of a full quack of a female.

Ok, I sprayed her/his? Vent with Poultry Care for vent prolapse, I will but Coconut oil on it now to keep it moist-thank you. A vet is not possible..unfortunately. I will have to do what I can for her!
