Personally I would never use a phone as a storage device or limit myself to the small screen when doing editing work on photos. I would/do use a high res color corrected 24" LED monitor for editing photos with my computer.
very specific šŸ˜… I have an iPhone 11 and the camera on it is 100 times better than my Cannon (someone forgot to teach my nice camera how to take pictures that look good)

i also just use my phone camera plus the regular crop editing/filter options in your camera roll...I like photography but you can sometimes tell I don’t have a fancy app. The thing is with them is they want you to buy upgraded versions with more editing features that I want so much but can’t afford. So I just use my phone.

I’d like to buy a fancy thing like that but I don’t think I am quite as committed! Are there apps for your computer that are better for photo editing? What about for a phone? (I don’t think I can get away with using apples camera roll editor for much longer)

On computers, you use programs and not apps. I don't care how good your phone camera is, there is nothing like working on your photos with a good big high res monitor to see what you are doing vs the tiny screens on a phone.

I am personally using a long outdated set of programs for developing my photos on my computer. I only shoot in RAW which allows me much greater latitude in what I can do with the photos before they become jpgs.

There are perfectly good free photo editing programs available for computer use whether you are using a Mac or a Windows computer.
