Langshan Thread!!!

Pics
Okay, so I was pretty convinced even before I posted his pic here that Larry was a boy. But, I have been hoping that I have a pullet too. Now, I'm kinda thinking I have two boys. Her/His head has gotten broader than Larry's and although he/she is not the very top chicken, he/she is #2.  What do you think?

Luna or Lou?

Another shot - Luna or Lou?

You do have a pair, just not one you can breed from. (A pair of cockerels)

How old are these?
I have (7) 7 week old or so, Blues & Splash. Would like to use your pics to gauge mine. So hard to tell right now what sex. Right now I think I maybe have 3 cockerals & 4 pullets but I am only guessing this by their feathering, shorter tails on the cockerals (?), their slightly more pronounced little combs (maybe) and some seem to be taller, longer legged than the others. But I may be WAY off.
thanks

Regrettably, I will not be able to keep the LF Langshan juvenile birds we have. We really have the most desirable mix of birds from Skyline, Pawhead, Heinz & Rodriguez. Due to my recent diagnosis of Spinal Stenosis, I'm trimming back to 4 breeds.

The birds we have now are about 4 months old, Blue, Black, Splash & White. I'll be putting up an auction soon, you can PM me if you like. We probably have about 20 juveniles!

Hate to hear about your diagnosis. Which 4 breeds did you decide to keep?

Where did you get your whites from?

OMG well I think we had a white hatch from you but also we have a GORGEOUS pair from skyline/pawhead

I'm keeping my real loves....

Mille Fleur Leghorns

Jubilee Orpingtons

Tolbunt Polish

Blue/Gold Partridge Brahmas

I actually also have a flock of lavender Marans that are just about ready to lay. We'll see what their future brings!

The whites couldn't have been from me. I had no whites at the time and no other birds carried the recessive white genes in my flock?

I know that Jim had some recessive whites pop up in his lines? Maybe that's where it came from? Or maybe his were only in the bantams?

Interesting breeds to keep and very different from each other!
