Got 2 duck eggs in the incubator set to pip (if I'm lucky) next week. Tossed the other 3, 2 bloodrings, 1 clear.

Happy Mother's Day all!

My two perfect smidglings, aged 10 months and 2 years.

Candled eggs under the 2 broodies today. Tossed a few eggs that were either clears or barely started.......I hadnt separated her so they were probably today or yesterday's eggs. She had about 20 under her.

I gave her the dozen most advanced and moved her into a private 4x4 coop. She was NOT HAPPY, so hopefully she will calm back down and sit her butt down.

She also had about 5 eggs that were developing but much "earlier". I gave those to my bantam cochin who was sitting on about 20 clear eggs. I also moved her into a 2x4 hutch all by herself.

So all the broodies have been moved by themselves. I'm sure this means someone else will go broody now. LOL.

I love looking at the kid pics! They are wondeful! Let me see if I can find one too.
