Well I hope to get a light sussex roo out of this batch and cross it w/ my speckled hens. Real excited to see how that will come out.

Guess I will have to sell my mixes at a farm swap so that people can actually see how they turn out.

My Wayne Meredith Ameraucana eggs are hatching! I have 3 out, and 3 more pips I can see! I may have a complete hatch by tomorrow! Only 8 made it to lockdown,

I hope they all hatch, I hope I get some pullets!!

My young roos out number my pullets 3 to one so far!

I really need some pullets!!

This has been the Year of the Rooster at my house , so far of the 30 chicks that I intended to pick 12 replacement hens from I have only 8 pullets. Thus the additional Delaware eggs currently in the incubator. Or that is my excuse anyway.

Put 12 eggs in the hatcher this morning. 6 of mine and 6 of Wolftracks!

THEN: I am 2 mins. away for walking out the door tonight to go to church and I hear some peeping from the Dickey, YUP... Guinea keets hatching in the tray

1 in the half shell and 1 on the bottom of the cabinet behind the hatching tray. The were to go to lockdown tonight for Sat. hatch. So I got Guineas

1st time hatching Guineas, a friend brought them home with her from vacation in Alabama, so they may have been pulled from a nest

They are pretty cute as chicks.

My broodies. All five I had going? QUIT. And ken unknowingly collected eggs. UGH! I am tossing broodies off the nest every night now. No MORE!!

What the heck??? Aren't they supposed to know what they're doing? I lockdown Sat with my first hatch in the new Dickey's incubator. The eggs are doing really well, even the shipped ones.
