Its a plastic shelf. It comes with the Reptipro when you buy one. I wish it were a little heavier. I just knocked the top shelf into the bucket for the chicks...DOH!

None of the eggs or chicks were hurt, and are all back in thier original positions.

They have both about 1 foot away, dumb butts eat & drink NOTHING!... never touched. I took them off and stood them in front of it and they hop right back on the nest. So I took them out to the big feeder and they both ate & drank like crazy & of course left a ginormus poop.

my chicks are hatching and i have another hour and a half of work.

last night 1 out before midnight - 2 more over night - i watched one hatch before i left to work =4

before hubby left he said 1 more hatched. he got home to say there were 4 more then 1 more hatched when we were on the phone.... ack........... i want to go home!!!!!!!!!!

LOL.... so up to 10 chicks.

well i get to play with them when i get home....

these are wellsummers, wyndotts (spelling), and jap bantams. i got a surprise cochin today too. LOL nice surprise.

soooo i dont want to be here at work

heres this am's pictures not sure what the yellow ones with the black stripe down the back are - skunk chickens? LOL they are bantam sized

I'm having bad luck in that hatching department too

I had 5 out of 13 lav Orp project eggs from tgrlily make it too lock down, 2 piped and died and the other 3 died before they pipped

ALL 14 of my own Iowa Blue and EE eggs set the same time hatched just fine! I guess I should have helped them, but as it was it was a day early! I hope I do better with the next group of shipped eggs.

On the bright side I set 45 more IA Blue eggs and all are showing development at 7 days

My babies started hatching on the 31st. The 7th just hatched a couple hours ago. 13 eggs still in the bator with no sign of pips. How long do you guys typically leave the last of the eggs. I was hoping for more (I know, who doesn't?!)

I don't wanna cut 'em short if they're just slow.
