I understand your loss - our pets are such a big part of each day. Their companionship is huge. We lost our little girl cat in August and my pain is still intense.

Yes they are be they are furry or have feathers or scales it is never easy to lose a loved one. I'm sorry for your loss.

Sorry for your loss. All my critters are like family. I cried for days when my anatolian puppy played my favorite hen to death. My fault, I went inside to grab a soda and take care of the clothes in the dryer and when I went back out, she was already gone. Left him alone for 15min.

Hello everyone. Can anyone tell me if there are any LF Cochin breeders anywhere in my general area. I am close to Clinton and Davenport Iowa. I have had my 6 Cochin hens and 1 Roo for 5 months now along with a Brahma, an australorp, a deleware, a brown leghorn, 2 EE's, a wyandotte and a red star. My Cochins are the best, I love them to death. My roo finally crowed for the first time today, I'm so excited! I ordered them from McMurray and although I love them and all the "kids" are healthy, I would like to get a few from a breeder next spring. If anyone can point me in the direction of any breeders in northern Illinois or Iowa or even South Western Wisconsin area, I would appreciate it! Thanks!

You should join us at Cochins International you can take a look at the old breeders directory on line at the website. I dont have mine with me sorry , if you want to get serious about Cochins you want to become a member its cheap and the members are the best.
