Nope, Brown is an accepted color in the SOP for LF Cochins.

Is Brown in Large Fowl the same as Brown-Red in Bantam?

no there are brown red LF as well , I have not seen LF chocolates or browns in the states there are some in EU and some working on them here in the states but haven't got them solid yet.

Here are a pair of 7month old Partridge LF I have that I am working with. they look brown but they are partridge the hen has really nice lacing on her the camera just doesn't show it.
