I think the show thing came in to compare your rooster to a SOP bred silkie.
It was to show yours is a hatchery quality bird which would explain his size.
Your Orpington hen is also hatchery quality which explains why she is small.

The Orpington hen isn't really that small. Plus one thing I noticed about show quality Orpingtons, they're really more feathers, and fluff rather then actual size. Their extra plumage makes them look bigger then what they really are.
I'll place my big roo next to my jersey giant hen for comparison for you, how does that sound?

I agree good Orpington have a lot of fluff.
But doesn't matter if its fluff or not when you're using them in a pic for size reference.
Here was a couple of my orpingtons. They're quite fluffy looking but stand either next to you silkie or Orpington hen and they wouldn't appear very large.

You want to show use exactly how big he is you need to tell us his correct weight or even stand him next to something we can all relate to like a 5 gallon bucket or 2 liter bottle.

Okay, with his size, he should be around 4-5lbs. He's a white chinese silkie which are large. He is a bit on the skinny side, because there's chicks in the coop now.

What's your point?
Didn't your silkie come from TSC or a feed store?
Think a hatchery imported silkies from China to turn around and sell them to a feed store for a couple bucks?

I've seen Chinese silkies listed in hatchery sites, so they must import, or have a breeding stock. I'll get the link in a minute.

It is often said that all silkies originated in China or were exported from China to the rest of the world.
When a hatchery says Chinese silkies it the same as saying silkies.
They aren't selling any special oversized silkie that come from any special line direct from China.

Purely poultry sells Chinese meat silkies. They get up to 5 pounds in 12 weeks. Plus, if you're running a hatchery, for example, you'd need to be a well educated person whom specializes in poultry of all types. Hatcheries will often teach those who know little when they join the business.

Broiler silkies are actually LF silkies popular for their meat in China, cuz their size, and meatiness. At least they can continue living without being over weight, unlike regular broilers we have here in the U.S.
