Large hard knot on right chest of chick

My little Sweet Pea had poop on her so I took her out to clean it and I found a really hard large bump on the right side of her chest. I’d swear it wasn’t there this morning. She’s acting completely normal. Aside from a weird stretch she’s doing with her neck. I attached a photo. Please tell me this is healable/fixable is it her crop? How do I help her?

Actually I’m noticing a lot of my chicks have it.

That’s the food stored in their crop. 100% normal.

I am betting she's got a full crop.

If you are giving anything other than just chick starter be sure to have chick grit available.

It shouldn’t need any intervention. I would not recommend this on a healthy chick who had eaten and isn’t impacted.

The crop or gizzard is a special organ that holds and digests food for the bird, similar to a stomach. It contracts and breaks bigger pieces down throughout the day and night.

Yes yes, I am sorry. I haven’t had this happen before. I’m still in the mist of studying. Thank You for the help. When I get new babies now I’ll know if they happen to get that. Very much thanks.
