Larkwell Valley (2023)

I need to do a deep dive in my standard and on the APA website to figure out exactly what needs to be done. They may require that all of the birds be the same variety for admission.
Okay. It's different for birds than rabbits, which is what i was familiar with once upon a time. For the rabbits, we just needed 3 people to each show 5 for like 3 years or whatever (it's been a fat minute since I showed at ARBA shows so the time length might be of)

@Canadian Wind , the 4 whites in this picture are all the scovy littles. I can try to get better pics if needed after work, the right and left in the group of three are my suspected males, especially the left one. The middle and separate one are the two I'm thinking might be girls.View attachment 3941324
Yeah, need better pictures. Supposedly, females start growing their flight feathers before males too.

Okay. I am fascinated with the hookbills, but since it wouldn't be a single color pen (unless that's all I end up with), I didn't want to show them if them being a mixed color would hurt efforts to recognize them.

They accept specific varieties so it wouldn't help them get accepted per sey (unless you entered them as that variety, don't do that) but it wouldn't hurt them. However, it might help people see the breed and take interest. Conversely, people might see the mixed color and be like "those hook bills need some work still" so it's up to you.

They're like Squishy Potatoes!

I picked them up to see if there were noticeable weight differences I could tell. They all felt about the same (maybe 3~ pounds?) But the two I think are male's are spread out a bit over the larger frames and the two I think are females are much more compact

Front and back, male, two in the middle female is my guess from their heads. The one in the front middle def looks female to me.
Okay, that's exactly my thought too. Of course the front one is the largest and friendliest 😔, but at this point that was also an indicator for me. The only friendly female I have is the one that is half blind, so I was pretty sure that Mr. Potato was a boy a few weeks ago.
