Larkwell Valley (2023)

Well, at that age you would definitely know if it was male.
That's what i figured. The green bill was just theowing me off. The person who took those three yesterday didnt mind, she just wanted more birds to replace some she had lost to a fox (she found the entrance hole though and filled it)

Something learned that the shed had birds in it. Lost Romero the night before, which I'm pretty upset about. The Moonshine rooster and a Danvers hen last night. Probably what made Pebble quit nesting since she went into the main barn the night Romero disappeared. Glad she didn't stick around an extra day

Oh no! 🫂

Never did find any trace of the missing birds.

Said goodbye to Angela today. She's had weakness for a few years, since the first raccon attack when she lost her sisters and her comb, and the last few weeks, it's progressed. Yesterday she was having difficulty getting up, and today she couldn't walk so we put her down.

She was ready though this time. We sat while we were waiting for mom to be done with the horses, and she was as content as could be with the sun on her feathers and weight supported in my lap. She was the last of my mosaics, which is sad. I enjoyed them a lot while I had them.
