Congratulations!!! Out of the dozen I got from Pam's pride in the middle of summer heat, I had 9 developers, 8 healthy hatchlings. The non-survivor pipped, zipped, and the I think rotated to the back where there was no air and couldn't get out.

The pix are GOOD! You've had FINE LUCK with your homemade 'bator AND the eggs from PamsPride.

I'll keep watching now to see if you have any "late hatchers".

Martin,
In your "brooder"....Are you using a "heat-lamp" to provide warm temperatures for the chicks? Using something else?

just curious,
Bruce (junkmanme)

Just using a heat lamp had to adjust was a cool 88 at first got it at a toasty 94 now pretty sure we are done hatching a healthy 8 final count out of 13 good eggs I am very happy with that especially w/weather and postal handling.cant wait till next month getting some BBS Jersey giants from Wynette/Guess I lied about last hatch and just for sport went ahead and threw some of my quail and pheasant in today while I wait for those eggs!
