I finally took a pic of my pattern. I may make some of a different pattern also. I haven't decided. Any way here is the first pattern.

Oh my! It is beautiful. The brown in mine makes it look dark instead of 'Spring!' Maybe the outside square will make it look better. We'll have to see.

Marty, What do you think of doing an album quilt pattern in a swap? Then we could sign our block and we'd have a memento of everyone that joined the swap.

I got my car back yesterday from the body shop. It feels so good to drive my own car again.

Look what I found in my chicken coop. This is the second time. It's a Burrowing Owl and quite common to the desert since they make their home in the ground instead of trees. It's the first I've seen since living here and it doesn't want to leave. Maybe it will eat the mice.

Sorry- almost 6 inches of snow outside and service is wierd. Kat- u getting some of this to go with the raging river? You haven't had to jump ship have you? Stay safe.

Baustin you are so lucky! It doesn't seem to mind being near you so someone may have taken care of it before. Is it nipping at the chicken's feed? All natural mice control:) Beautiful, just beautiful. At a loss for any other words...

It doesn't seem to mind me in the pen but Sadie scares it when she runs by the pen. They're so small and I would think that it would be sleeping during the day since owls are nocturnal. It can get in the coop and there is a crevice at the top under the roof that it gets into. I'll try again tomorrow to get it free. I need to find out how it's getting in. Where I thought it got in before I closed it up. It may be burrowing under but I've seen no evidence of that. Either way it's fun to see. I also have a neighbors peacock on the property. Fred has been hanging around for about a week and Sadie chases it up a tree or up on the house roof. I'll have to post a pic of him.

That's strange. Does it seem sluggish or hurt in any way? If not then hooray, a natural helper! It brings wonderful spring wildlife to mind. We see deer all the time and last year called to the pair of horned owls that would hoot across the valley to each other. Hope to work on blocks tomorrow if cabin fever doesn't drive family crazy:)

Cknldy nope I haven't had to build the ark, and we didn't get any snow, just some sleet and all is quite now, so the raging river is now turning into a river and it is amazing how fast the water recedes. yeah we should start to warm up, just making sure my 3 week old chicks are staying warm in the brooder, I brought them in when it was really bad outside. Crazy how we worry about our girls.
Baustin I love the block

I made some different blocks too, so we should get some nice variety. Now to go and pick my chicken fabric, my stores don't seem to have a nice selection, I need to go into the bigger town maybe saturday I will do that. I have been making my self some blocks and experimenting so I'm getting a collection and now just to figure how I want to put them together.
