YAY! I got some good news! Both of Molly's eyes have opened up! She seems to be doing a bit better.

Oh boy... I now know for sure that Madison and Mckenzie are boys.... I should change Mckenzie's name.. I think its to girly! Do you guys know any good names for a Black Orpington rooster? If you are wondering why I know that they are boys, its because they are already fighting! I was sitting there watching them, then out of no where they started fighting!!! I hope this is not because I don't have a red lamp! Im just using the light thats in the room. I have this little thing that acts like a heat lamp, just without the lamp!

On sunday i am going to New Jersey to pic up my Silver Spangled Hamburg Rooster!!! YAY im so excited!! Finaly beable to hatch some hamburg chicks this summer!!

We have a bad snow storm going on right now...when i got up this morrning to go feed everyone..i noticed the bird netting on top of the chicken run had colasped! :'(.. I hope they'll be ok for acouple days with out it..but tue raccoons here love climbing over the fence

Oh no! I hate storms! I hope that they will be ok! I would keep a close eye on the chickens so that no raccoons come along and attack your chickens! We have four HUGE raccoons that live on our property! They have been known for killing our chicks and some chickens! We cant find traps large enough to fit them in, and thats in our price range... we have to keep an eye on these guys all the time because we never know when the raccoons are hungry!

We have a trap...but i have never caught anything in it yet..i dont really want to trap them and move them or kill them..they lived here first lol
I think we are going to put chicken wire on the top and beef up the support for it..this is tye secound time it fell and the first time it snapped the top beam for the far wall.

Butch is a good name.

Well, Not really... Today I went out there to check up on them and saw that Lizzie our Buff Orpington has a swollen up face! This is annoying! Im pretty sure this infection is not deadly by now. Im saying that because Molly our oldest chicken seems to have survived it, and one of our youngest ones has survived, so I think she will do ok! Today we bleached the chicken coop. I think that will stop the infection from growing and getting more of our chickens.

I think there may be mold on the lid if the chicken coop (where I grab their eggs)! I will try removing that as soon as possible! Thanks for your help! Hopefully this will solve our problem.
