Lavender Orpington?

This is the first chick at a few days old. Not as good of a picture, sorry. Hard to tell if there were muffs or not. The muffs aren't nearly as pronounced on either at their current age though.

I still can’t see muffs very well also the legs are the wrong color.

And just for comparison, this is a chick from the same breeder she said is an Ameraucana. He's absolutely massive compared to the others and had pronounced muffs as a small chick.

I'm not too concerned about the legs, with young chikcks they often start the wrong color and change as they grow. Unfortunatly I can't tell if that one has muffs or not, not nearly as obvious.

She looks like an EE, she has all the traits of a mix. She has modified pea comb, small/nonexistent muffs and wrong leg color for any breed.

Yes but as chicks ameraucanas have a certain leg look. And it’s NOTHING like that green.

I picked up this chick about four weeks ago from a breeder and was told this one along with one other are Lavender Orpingtons. Well, the Brahma she sold us apparently isn't a Brahma and now I'm questioning whether this is actually an Orpington at all. We've raised Buff Orps in the past and they have always had an obvious single comb. This chicks comb is flat, almost like a pea comb or rose comb. At this age even a female should have a distinguishable single comb, right? I guess my question is, are these two actually Orpingtons?View attachment 2467806View attachment 2467807View attachment 2467808

I'll also include pictures in the comments of the other "Orpington" chick who is darker and who's comb is even less noticeable.
If they grow up to have muffs and beards, then I’d bet on them being ameraucanas. If not, then you’ll have to post updated pictures.

She may be crossing breeds to make chicks that look exactly like pures. I’ve crossed an ameraucana rooster with other breeds and have made some birds who are identical to purebred ameraucanas.
