Looking back at the picture they appear to be the Beardless variety of Ameracauna, which are frowned upon greatly.

I was thinking they were small muffs when I first looked. They have giant muffs as chicksView attachment 2468022
Great, I had a feeling. Thank youBlind. Both have peas, but the first is a cockerel.
Yes but they are still visible as chicks. They'll grow out as the chick feathers out.
I may be seeing things, but the more I stare at it the more I think you may be correct about small muffsI was thinking they were small muffs when I first looked.
I had one chick that didn't really have a noticable muff until feathering out. I don't have pictures though, except the now adult bird.Yes but they are still visible as chicks. View attachment 2468037
That’s an ameraucana, any good honest breeder could tell. She probably had a rooster escape and breed her orps or she could have Easter Eggers which she mistakenly calls ameraucanas. If it helps, this is the second chick the day we brought them home so it would have been just a few days old. Again, was told this one was an Orpington so I didn't question it. View attachment 2468106
It's muffed! Good catch Mystery. It is probably an Ameraucana. @RoostersAreAwesome literally just informed like a minute ago that lavender isn't very common in Easter Eggers. Plus you know for a fact she breeds Ameraucanas. If it helps, this is the second chick the day we brought them home so it would have been just a few days old.
