Lavender orpingtons questions

Need some advice on my lavender breeding project. I used to raise buff orpingtons but decided to build my own line of lavenders. I bought a small flock that came from good lines but need ALOT of work. The two roosters have some dark color on their wings and I need some advice on how to fade the dark on the next generation. Should I breed lavender x lavender? Or should I add some black. I do know I need to cross with some blacks to fix some of the awful feather shredding. It may take me several years to breed them to what they should look like. And I didn't exactly start with the best of the best, but that was part of my goal. That's why it's a project, thanks for the help!
