Any thoughts? They are all doing great

I've never seen the crossing to know what look like- sounds like they may be actually pretty

They still will change, so a little early - kinda of have a partridge look.

My mom thought a couple of chicks we hatched were beyond ugly. We gave them to my uncle and when we went back later, those beyond ugly birds turned out to be gorgeous. I kept trying to tell her that they weren't even their main feathers yet, that they were going to change.... I finally got her to understand that when she saw them again...

So give them time, maybe they will turn out different than what you think.

I'd still like to watch them change along with ya =)

I have a lavender orp roo, and buff, chocolate, black, and red hens. Every single chick I have hatched is black.

When dealing with Lavs they will always come out as black which is called a split- I did red roo and Lav hens and came out a couple pure black and some black with red but with the Lav gene I hope anyway, I put the roo with red back to Lav I should pop out blacks (split) and Lavs - which 2 that I hatched came out black and one with a yellowish face which is probably the Lav gened one but im not sure if that works true for that

This how Red roo and Lav hens came out- I kept the red as that's what I wanted to put back with Lavs
