Least aggressive breeds

In my experience, silkies, sultans, and cochins have been the most docile towards humans AND other chickens. They never give me or my family the death stare or stink eye, and they never so much as flap their wings at another chicken. One of my sultans, whose name is Duckie, is super sweet and the only one that will actually cuddle up to me and is tolerant enough for shows.

My white is a show quality bird, so sometimes I have to put her big fluffy crest into a hair tie so she can see. It’s so funny to watch her tooling around with my two other hens. I’d love to find a show quality white rooster to breed with her, but no luck.
Non of mine are show quality although my Partridge Hen is more well bred and from better stock. My Rooster in my opinion is a bit big..

I’ve heard that’s a problem many hatcheries are experiencing. I’ve heard of some silkie roosters being as big as standard hens. I don’t if you got yours from a hatchery though. I’m sure he’s still a beautiful boy!

The pecking order will never go away. I would not give my flock away because of it. Elimination of the most aggressive hen would only mean another would try to be the Alfa hen once the old one was gone. If your girls are drawing blood then something is not right in their environment. Over crowding can cause this.
If there’s just one hen they all pick on then there’s probably something wrong with that hen (worth looking into). So for whatever it’s worth before you go looking to replace your flock perhaps look into changing their environments condition.

Out of curiosity what make the males show quality? I have a Silkie rooster (quite by accident) and am just interested to know more.

Aggression is not a breed problem(ETA:generally)....most likely a housing(crowding) and/or integration and/or diet problem...in that order.
Understanding what chickens need and how they commune will take care of many many 'problems'.

Not sure I agree. Almost all of mine free range on many acres and are fell fed, yet some of my game crosses will fight.

I'm my experience your theory sounds correct although was not my issue at all.
Either things work and believe me if they go sideways it can happen within minutes.
Chickens are Chickens....:frow
Having them should be relaxing and not a stressful hobby.
