Least aggressive breeds

Not sure I agree. Almost all of mine free range on many acres and are fell fed, yet some of my game crosses will fight.
True.....added a 'weasel word'. ;)
Aggression is not a breed problem(ETA:generally)....most likely a housing(crowding) and/or integration and/or diet problem...in that order.
Understanding what chickens need and how they commune will take care of many many 'problems'.

I have very little experience and only with the few chickens I have now, but I've got 4 large Easter Eggers, 2 bantam Polish, and 1 tiny Old English Game bantam, and everyone gets along great. The EEs have never fought or bothered each other, or the smaller birds. Even when the OEGB was introduced, they either ignored her or let her crawl under them like a baby. She even steals food out from the mouths of others and gets away with it. The Polish were rescues and are still bald on the top of their heads, and nobody pecks or bothers them. I was worried about having birds of such different weights and sizes (7 pounds down to 1/2 pound,) but so far they're all behaving. It does make me feel better that the tiny one can fly like a helicopter and get up and out of the way if need be. So I'd personally recommend EEs just based on my experience. (And the bantams, but some people want more eggs than they are going to provide.)

A friend of mine got chicks to raise this year and got Red Sex Links and white Leghorns from the local feed store. She's told me on more than one occasion she's had to separate the Leghorns out because they are attacking the others, and that she'll never have that breed again. They've got plenty of room and coop space, yet still aggravate the other birds for fun.

Our Black Jersey Giant male and female are very docile. Female is good layer. Male is 10.5 months, still in puberty, but pretty docile, and crows every day but not early and not often.

Found out yesterday that the small hatchery we got them from gets their stock from a longtime (50+years) breeder of BJG, and from our 2, they are a nice representation of the breed. BJG are known to be docile. However, they are big, they mature more slowly, they consume a bit more feed I think. BJG female started laying about 24 weeks old.

I think a lot of it depends on the individual personality.

My white silkie hen is BOSSY.....she's second in the pecking order (my BR is #1). She will stand up to anyone and anything. That said, she's super sweet with us and her buddies...but she's fearless. She tries to peck my dog through the fence, stands up all tall...acts really tough. My black silkie hen is more your typical silkie...docile, etc.

My friend has a super friendly leghorn....rides on her daughters bike handlebars, loves to be cuddled. I've often heard leghorns are skittish and flighty. Not this one!

My Ameraucana is one of my sweetest - if I hold her, she snuggles down and closes her eyes. She pretty much asks to be picked up - never runs away, just stands there.

My faverolle is bottom of the pecking order, terrified of everything, very skittish.

Both my light Brahma and Australorp are friendly, my Brahma is easy to trip over because she's always right at my feet...they are both gentle birds.

In my experience, my Brahma, Ameraucana and Australorp were best with other birds. They don't get walked over, but they aren't aggressive either. They're like Switzerland....kind of neutral :)
