Least aggressive breeds

The pecking order will never go away. I
Agree, there will always be a top hen.

I would not give my flock away because of it.
I wouldn't either.

Elimination of the most aggressive hen would only mean another would try to be the Alfa hen once the old one was gone.
True.
If your girls are drawing blood then something is not right in their environment. Over crowding can cause this.
Agree.

If there’s just one hen they all pick on then there’s probably something wrong with that hen (worth looking into).
Sad but true. :( They can be really bad like this.

So for whatever it’s worth before you go looking to replace your flock perhaps look into changing their environments condition.
Great suggestion!

Not sure I agree. Almost all of mine free range on many acres and are fell fed, yet some of my game crosses will fight.
I know nothing of game birds. I’ve only had some experience with domestic breeds if that’s what you call the difference dunno. Game birds are in a different category...but I’ma just talking out my wass lol because I’ve never had them. Seems like it would be comparing apples to oranges No?

I've both males and females of the D'Uccle breeds to be very docile. In fact, D'Uccle males were the cuddliest and nicest males I've ever had, and I've had several.

I also liked Orpington (hens)
Brahma (both males and females)
Jersey Giant (females)

Did not like
Cochin bantams (both genders)
Easter Eggers (both genders)
Wyandottes (female)

I am not an expert on games and/or game crosses, I inherited mine, or like the last three, they were tossed over my fence.

My comments are based on my experience. Each time I see a couple of hens "arguing" in the middle of the yard it's always the game crosses, never the purebreds. None of them ever draw blood though, they just got each other a little then carry on.

I have 6x8 coop with 4 nesting boxes and my run is 10ft by 20ft. I also let them free range most days.

Nice neighbors how kind they gift you birds. Extremely kind that you kept them. Guess I’ll just scratch game birds off my wish list.
