Leftover Wheat & Corn?

My uncle (a prepper) gave us a few 5 gallon buckets of properly stored wheat & corn from when he thought things were going to go down at Y2K....do you suppose this is safe to fed our chickens 13 years later?

From what I have read as long as it is whole wheat and whole corn, not cracked, crimped or in any way processed, and if it has been properly stored (cool, dry, no bugs) it will retain it's nutritional value for many years.
