Leg bands help please!

Hi everyone! I was wondering what other household things you can use besides buying leg bands for the chickens. I need to tell a few apart but the feed store is out of legbands. I dont want to unintentially use something that will hurt them. thought you guys would have some ideas! thanks!

I use the multi-colored "zip" ties that you find in the electrical dept of the hardware/big box stores. Usually 6-8 colors per bag

I've used the small colored ponytail bands before. The fuzzy ones. Worked well!!

can those things hurt them or "cut off" circulation? How tight?

Can they be a bit loose? not fitting..a bit loose..where it can move?

Don't make them tight!! They do stretch. They will pull them off tho if they are too loose!
