Will leg bandettes put on young day old chick eventually grow into their skin or cut off circulation? If so, when should they be removed and how?

As the chick grows the leg banding must be enlarged.

Maybe post a pict - and people can suggest the best removal method.
Yes, it could severely harm the leg if it is too small.
