We hatched this chick about 36 days ago. I didn't notice anything when she was born, but my wife claims that her toes always seemed to point out, but recently, within ten days, her leg really started pointing backwards. She can still stand and hops around to food and water, but obviously this isn't normal.
After some searching I came across this site https://unitedpeafowlassociation.org/articles/twisted-tibia-in-young-poultry/
We attempted to tape the leg as described in the article for the past four or five days without much noticeable improvement.
I'll continue to tape the leg, but I'd like to hear from some with more experience if this is in fact a twisted tibia or something else. I've checked the tendon and from what I've read, it appears to be in place, but I've included a picture of the back of the hock. I've included some pictures that hopefully show the condition. I can get pictures of anything else you may want to see. I'd just like to make sure I'm treating the correct problem.
