Leghorn cockerel?

Put your hand or a piece of dark paper under the saddle area so that you can see the true shape of the feathers. All-white and all-black birds are hard to tell when just looking at them and worse in photos. :)

oh i see!! guess thats why it was easier for me to see saddles on my chooks with pattern feathers. might have to try that trick sometime
 
As I said, it is really easy to recognize the sex of a Leghorn when they are small chickens. Later, when they grow up, there can be confusion, because hens also have large combs.
Picture of my 4 and 5 months old Leghorn hens,shows bigger crest!
Araucana male chicks also have a slightly larger comb, while hens have almost no comb at all.

Guess thats why the comb grew quickly on this boy, gotta give him away then, he was being a bully to the pullets anyway.
