Leghorn Layers

These companies have decades of specific breeding in their lines and they don't want any other birds to be confused with theirs.
Interestingly enough, these type of Leghorns are still dominant white that hide Barring and Mottling on them as many white leghorns do(or perhaps I am mistaken here and backyard white leghorns have just dominant white)
 
I've heard a lot of stories about the many things hiding in white leghorns. Funny enough I've crossed many different ones without finding any of those hidden jewels.

Yes, Dr. Ron Okimoto found the "Smoky" mutation on these type of Leghorns, Also the many types of Barring(Sex linked Dilution B^Sd, Extreme Dilution B^Esd) have been found on them, God I wish I had the time to do a proper investigation with them, crossing them to wildtype and see what's under on the F2s.
