Less than 12 hours and they're at them already!

We use a trail cam to see what's coming in at nite, ( there are 2 raccoons that I got pics of within the last week ) so I set up a live trap & I'm just waiting to catch one

Dog proof traps, either the pull or push/pull triggers will work. They are simple. In areas with really big raccoons, or multiple raccoons in the same trap, live trap doors may fail to close all the way. You just educated an animal that WILL come back but NOT to your trap. Anchor or use drags on them with cable, not wire, or you will be replacing traps and educating raccoons. If you use an anchor don't put your trap within the radius of the coop, or you will be replacing parts of your coop. Raccoons are destructive in and out of traps.
