Thanks everyone! When I went to bed last night there were 3 Lester babies and 3 Araucana. Another Lester baby hatched this morning and 2 more Araucana. That leaves 2 more of the split lav eggs to hatch. I know one is pipped for sure. I see more action on the Araucana eggs, so the hatch is not over yet.
I will post pics when the hatch is finished. Fingers crossed these are all girls.
The other baby lav's comb (pictured on page 2) is turning red, so I'm pretty sure it's another boy.
I will post more updates as I have them today. Thank you to everyone for your support and excitement with me on this.
The 5th Lester baby egg hatched. The 6th one did not make it. It started to hatch and was turned pip down towards the wire. It is deceased, but we are so happy for the 5 we got. Now just hoping they are pullets.
The araucana are still hatching as well, so I won't move them until I think the hatch is over. Stay tuned for pics.
Jody and Charlie, one of these days when it isn't pouring out (will there be a day like that?) I'd love to come back up and see these birds and Lester and any others you have there. Lester is one very handsome Roo and the baby pics you posted show a very adorable baby! Hope you get little pullets for the rest of them. I also hope you start hatching lots of lavender babies and have some chicks and eggs to sell to all of us!
Talk to you soon.
Lisa
