lethargic 8mo old pekin with mites

From what I can see, those are lice. There are 2 kinds - sucking and chewing. One type takes ivermectin to treat and the other needs another medicine. I usually use canine Frontline - 1-2 drops to skin on back of neck, where it meets body, and within 12 hours, no lice. I have only used it on chickens, and in any case, it is off-label, meaning not approved in birds. I usually do a 7 day egg withdrawal. Use at your own risk, but I have used it on adult birds, as well as chicks, and it works GREAT for lice.

I hope you find out what was wrong with your duck.
 
Thanks for the tip, I wonder if he has had them for long and if the other birds are infected...
I suspect that your duck's limping was due to a bumblefoot infection that turned septic and that he'd been sick for awhile. That said, I've noticed that when an animal is sick, they are more likely to have mites and/or lice infestations, but I would dust the rest of my birds and spray their coops.
