I have a week old chick that's acting lethargic and has strange poop. I have attached a pic.
Her crop feels like a water balloon.
She's staying under the head plate.
I have given her a few drops of nutridrench and they have electrolytes in their water because I'm dealing with another chick with wry neck.

It has adequate heat, water, food, grit, litter mates.
She has been vaccinated for mareks at the hatchery.

Please help!

Is she smaller than the others? Did you get her from a feed store? A private source? Mail order?

She's the same size as everyone else. I ordered her and 3 more wyandottes from Cackle Hatchery. I picked them up at the post office last friday.

She may be suffering from delayed shipping stress. If treated immediately, a chick can recover fully. Give electrolyes in sugar water and a few drops of Poultry Nutri-drench each hour for the rest of today.

If that doesn't perk up the chick, then something more serious may be going on.

Ok, thank you! I'll do that now.

From my limited experience with chicks, I know this isn't a good sign...😔

Can you get some drops of sugar water into the chick? Has it drunk at all?

I've been able to get about 20 drops or so in it at 2:15 then again at 3:15. I'm about to give it some more in a bit. She was walking around some so here's hoping!

Do you think it was just failure to thrive or something else that I need to keep an eye out for in the rest of my flock? Everyone else seems healthy, eating, drinking and running around.
