Let's have a gosling hatchalong!

Someone PLEEZ help. I have about one year old pilgrim geese I have been placing them in a large incubator along with chicken and duck eggs... They are fertile but won't hatch:/.... Please any tip or tricks

Good morning.... I'm pleased that this day is starting off better than the last two. I woke up to a new grey dewlap baby (gender unknown) hanging out in my bator and hope to have a Slate/Shimmer baby join him in a couple of hours. I still can't see the color of beak though, but really hoping for a buff girl!!

Morning and pleased to hear things are looking better for you.

Another Grey Dewlap!!! Lets hope that egg that's due soon is your long awaited Buff. I cant believe the number of Buffs RG has hatched from your eggs!!! You'd think the Goose Gods had marked all the ones you sold for Buff

Maybe next time sell the goslings and not the eggs!!! Keeping everything crossed for this one

Just watch for that lilac/purple beak pointing out at you

I know! I have been watching for the hole to get big enough to reveal beak. In the meantime, the new baby has been rolling the eggs all over and revealed a large external pip on the other Slate/Shimmer egg on the bottom side of the fat end. Not sure if it will hatch ok, though.

As for the grey dewlap, that one is from the grey quad yard from the broody's nest I busted up a few weeks ago. There's another one that looked to be 2-3 days behind that I threw into hatcher with the others. So at least I was prepared for that color to appear. Hope it is a girl so I can make a grey pairing.

Lets just keep everything crossed for the Buff as the priority. It would be so nice to get one after all your recent troubles and I'm sure you'll be thrilled to bits.

Just keep watching for the beak colour as breeding for 2 colours does add to the excitement of hatching!!!

Got a few more to go from our best pairing so hoping we might get another Buff but perhaps I'm getting greedy now

Got quite a few eggs to go from a Split to Grey pairing so will be hoping to get a Buff female or two from those eggs.

We'll be thinking of DNA sexing ours once they get a little older but there's a very big gosling in the last 2 hatched and looks like a male

I'll keep watching for news of your egg as our next ones are not due until the weekend.

You are not going to believe this.... I can see beaks on my latest pair of Slate/Shimmer eggs, and they are both boys!!!

Got goose egg activity. Hatch start due date was the 11th, had one start yesterday and one this morning. Was almost ready to resign them come Wed, but will wait out the week to see if any more of the 6 eggs break into the light. I could not see anything with my flashlite, but that might be because I am working with eyes that are getting dim too!

They are Africans, and are some kind of fun to watch grow up..Of course, I don't much care for the male mentality of the grown creature.
