Let's have a gosling hatchalong!

Checked on my girl in the bator & she is gunna be fine! Already sitting up & all. She still has a little belly left but nothing I am worried about. I couldn't be happier, I was really pulling for her.
I am not a seasoned assistance hatcher, and this was actually my 1st goose egg to pip at the wrong end (believe it or not!)

Yeah! For a new box of eggs!

I really like the look of Beignet, I think she is a nice fattie with some great potential in diversity.

I love her white rim around her beak, and her chest coloring too!
I can't believe I got a buff gosling out of her, When she was hatching I was like WTHeck?? ITS BUFF ?? I did not know I could get a buff out of her eggs, until Utah told me the day she hatched that she could through buff, and I was like "That makes sense because I JUST hatched a buff!"

RG - you're having a great breeding season with some very impressive results and hatch rates. All well deserved :thumbsup

The story of the Buffs goes on and a new twist with an unexpected baby Buff!!!

Lets hope Iain gets 1 too very soon ;)

Thanks Pete ! Its not my 1st year hatching geese, but this is my 1st season hatching Dewlaps. It has been a blast sharing our hatches with all of you.

I know its funny & we all laugh at Utah's expense of her boy crazy bator

BUT I REALLY REALLY REALLY Want her to get that buff girl soon!

Here is my surprise gosling that momma Sassafras hatched out. Sassafras (white curly) is paired with Spicie (grey splash curly).
Anyone want to guess what the sex of this gosling is?

Two external pips now and one more internal pip. That makes 9 in lockdown. With two more left for internal pip. Not sure about the one under the hen yet. Shes due thursday, these were due wednesday. This is my last incubator hatch for the year. Im tired of turning eggs. Its now up to my tufted goose whether or not these will be my last goslings for the year.

RG, I'm pulling for that buff girl!

By the way, I watched Beignet lay her egg this morning while I was feeding, which means I'll have 5 eggs to send you from her in the morning (plus eggs from other girls).

Psue & Ruru, glad you are both safe from the nasty weather!

Best of luck to all of us still hatching. Last year, my first hatch was early February and last hatch May 12th. This year, my first hatch wasn't until April and will go well into June. At least the weather is much better for brooding goslings outside with the later season.
thanks J... How would believe that it was snowing 17 days ago.
