RG - so your Sebs stopped laying for awhile and then started up again? Mine hasn't laid an egg for almost a week I think. I'm hoping she'll start up again as she's only laid about 15 eggs, I think. My ducks stopped for awhile, too, but they are starting! again.

I'm wondering if its the weather affecting the geese?

My Tootsie & Rollie (pure sebbie pair) stopped laying for about 2 weeks & picked right back up again ~ every other day!

My Franklin & Roosevelt project cross pair have laid nonstop an egg every 2 days religously

After reading up on Ancona ducks, it looks like I should find some unrelated and do my part to propagate the breed. Seems like there's not so many of them in the world.

Yes, my husband is looking forward to eating as many as possible, so that he can say he ate a large percentage of an endangered bird! You two would probably get along just great!

Here are my Embdens (and my very first goose hatch). There are four that are a yellow, with white feathers coming in, and then the one that is gray and it looks like gray feathers are coming in. Not sure what this means, whether the darker one will lose the dark and get white, too, and if it's a girl and the rest are boys, like Pete suggested. They are a month old today. They like to hang out with their khaki campbell hatch mates.
