I have thought about raising bobs.... i just dunno if i could let them live long enough to be grillin size... little demons may push me over the edge what with the way they can't get along!
I agree, and reminds me what someone said about incubating any different species together, she sets the turkey eggs, then the guineas, then the chickens, then the quail and all hatch around the same time, no multiple humidity hikes...
wanted to share that food for thought/conversation piece while we have time., thanks for the segway JJ.
Last Call For GG Eggs In Randall's Bator!!!!!! Fixin' to put the last 77 for the year in the trusty ol' hot box in a few minutes .... The providors will go to freezer camp by the weekend. They've been faithful non-stop providers since early spring. Can't hold out to 9/1......gotta have the livin' space. Gotta have a hatch rest. I'm burnt out. Good luck to y'all on the planned hatch-along. I'll stay tuned to see the progress......

After you get them bitty's out of the brooders and into grow out pens, your routine ought to ease up some... Ya just need to spend some quality time with a fine box of wine and a fish'n pole...
My bator as been off for a while now, I got to do another hatch or two. Coturnix are only a 8 week deal thou, pens fill and open back up quicker!! Bill

I've been getting a lot of shipped eggs lately.. for me.. if they ship on Monday morning.. i get them on Wednesday... only one shipment was delayed til Thursday morning.. so in my experience they should get them in time.. if you want to make sure.. you could always mail them on Saturday.. then they should get them Monday.. Tuesday at the latest (assuming the post office doesn't lose them)
I doubt I'll be setting any Quail eggs, since I recently rehomed all but 3 of my Buttons. But ya never know! I do have an extra parakeet cage I 'could" keep the new bumble bees in when they get feathered out..but then again just another animal I have to feed. ;/
