I'm still working on our current house, but I got my first little "cottage" almost exactly like I wanted it before we moved--bittersweet!

I can't even believe how much I miss that tiny little house and its gorgeous, gorgeous pastures and pond.

Not too much cool going on in my house.

I have some serious wall envy going on here!!!!! However, once we move to Texas and I KNOW I am settled for good I will be more inclined to have fun with my home!!!

These are a couple of the "cuter" areas though.
My boys' bathroom. It has black feather edged squares on the back wall. You can see their Marilyn Monroe poster over the potty and the shower curtain reflected in the mirror...

And this is not a color, but one of my favorite walls.

This is behind my computer desk. It is what we call the art wall. This is where I hang either the more recent or my favorite of my kids artwork.

All but the clown paintings they all did in kindergarten....those got framed and hung in the hallway outside their bedrooms.

No, this was my sweet little "starter house" that I lived in when I was single and then after I got married, until our daughter was two. That's her first bedroom with the blue and yellow walls and carousel wallpaper border.

I loved that teeny-tiny house, and I'm trying hard to love this one I'm in now, but I don't. It's too much house for my taste, and more work to keep clean, and worst of all I went from 10 acres of LUSH Tifton 44 Bermuda and a pond and a 5-stall barn to 5 acres of barren rock, all uphill, and no barn.

I'm working on the inside, and there are parts of it that are coming together.

weird beyond weird giant "living room." There is a koi pond right outside this corner window, which is kind of nice.

One corner of the hearthroom in the center of the house. This is where we put the Christmas tree--we move the dining table to the middle of the room in front of the fireplace.

Here was the same corner BEFORE--I think you can see why we painted it!

More hearthroom, while we painted over the pea-green with terra-cotta:

If you look carefully at the inside of the windowsill, you can see the color of the kitchen (which adjoined the pea-green hearthroom) before we put the terra-cotta in there--PURPLE!!

This weird area is between the kitchen and hearthroom, and in the background you can see where I transitioned between the two beiges.

The master bedroom was also a pukey pea-green color. We went with this warm yellow instead.

I have sooooooo much more work to do on this house, and it's hard for me because I'm just not feeling the love for it like I did the old place.

My last house was TINY, but it looked great with deep color. I used an almost cobalt blue, and a deep russet, balanced with a nice taupe. Everyone told me it would look small and cave-like, until I got it done!

My colors?
Beige.

Besides the childrens room, and master bedroom...but those are muted tones of green in there...the young'uns...
well,
Pink (soft)
Blue (perfect, also more soft)

Hey, I live in a parsonage! It took a vote to get to paint the childrens room!

Seriously, I don't know how loud I would be anyway....been so long since I had a home of my own...
