I spent weeks painting our walls with a small sponge the size of my hand. The colors are Taffeta Tan and Plaster Pink. Alone they are odd, but sponged on in layers they made this very soft suede look.
What I love about it is that it changes greatly with the type and amount of light in the room:
(DH designed the columns/shelf and night-light. I made the sun for the night-light. At night when lit, the light shines out around the rays of the sun)
