Thanks, it was loads of fun to bake - got strawberries and whip cream to eat with it. This is an almond flavored pound cake I found on line for this companies molds.
Didn't read the end of the recipe until after the tail fell offIt said to let get Totally Cool before taking the mold off...
Somehow mixed the info up with a recipe I found elsewhere to let it cool 15 minutes - had to hold that gal with potholders for the removal.![]()
Anyway, once cool, the joint spillage scraped off easily with a knife. But none of my cake domes are tall enough, so have her in a "chicken cage" = AKA Bread keeper...
And got a hankering to start collecting these cake molds....so someone please talk me out of it.![]()
You might need to make a "coop" for that chicken cake.
What other molds did you see? List them out and we'll vote on the ones you should do next! (What are friends for, right?)
