Or talk real nice and sweet to all the other gals and guys and just leave me standing . . .dh is a wonderful guy, but he is a charmer . . .I can think of another two words too . . .but not allowed here. Has something to do with a bull, and the result from one end of their body.

Don't talk about me behind my back! If you think I'm annoying, SAY SO! I shouldn't find out from somebody else that you think that I have an eating disorder, whatever!
Also, it's amazing the way people jump to conclusions! I'm naturally blonde, but this November I was in a play at the community theatre that required me to have black hair (the King and I, I can sing every song from that play now-with made up lyrics as well!). So I dyed it. Nobody bothered asking why I dyed my hair, but suddenly I was: going Goth, suicidal, anorexic, bulimic, depressing, and creepy. The last one I get (i'm very pale, and I have blue eyes and annoyingly red lips) The rest? I changed my hair color, not my personality. Oh, and assuming that my animals couldn't possibly hurt them. Most of them are harmless, but then there was the guy who was trying to get a picture of my horse while I was longing her on the beach. He stood in front of her while she was at full gallop. COMMON SENSE! not as common as you'd think.

People that judge other people and harrass them for having handicap placards or tags..not every handicap is visible

If I hear one more person tell my mother "but you dont look handicap to me" and chase her down in a parking lot and INTO the store.. I will seriously hurt them with the first thing I get my hands on.

and yes... this has happened so much that she refuses to park in handicap parking spaces now.

NOW.. ask ME what I say when someone yells that crap at me when I choose to use my placard on certain days?

My sister has one of those temporary tags and hates it for the very same reason. They look at her and say, "you shouldn't drive your mom's car to just get a closer parking space." She had one person ask her (in the parking lot) how was she handicapped, she said, "I was hit by a car, where's your tag for asking rude questions!"

Ugh... now see.. when someone asks Mom or me the very rude (and none-of-their-business btw) question or response of "You dont look handicapped to ME"...

my standard reply is this:

Yeah well..looks are deceving because I could have sworn when you first came up to me you didnt look like a "butt-hole" to me - but I was wrong now wasnt I?

Then I walk away...

They usually dont say much after that

Sometimes I want to slap my hubby senseless when he makes a "cuckoo" motion next to his ear (crazy people) whenever he sees a Down syndrome, or some obvious mental folks sitting down to eat and they can get rowdy loud at times at excitements of going out on a field trip, etc. that they dont have much opporunity to go out in public. I got a little peeved about it and told hubby how would you feel if they were one of your friends and someone says they are nuts or crazy! And the impression of him as an EMT is not good if he keeps it up! No matter what your profession is, you must put on your best manners and leave the "signs" at home in private. I dont have to hear it either.

Oh yeah, I turned the tables on him one time. I am deaf and he made that "cuckoo" remark about a cute Down Sydrome kid joining an ice cream cone and I told him the way you make that remark, you hurt me too because I am handicap as well. One thing I never saw hiim make remarks at deaf people, just people that has mental problems.

Rant over!
