They will most likely turn out to be a wheaten color as there was still the one wheaten cockerel in the group. No I am not selling any eggs, actually sold the flock and these are the last eggs from them before they left. I am going to grow this group up a bit & a few more in the bator and then cull heavy. I will be only keeping a few pullets from the group to enter eggs into our local fair again next year.

This is the parent stock (the girls are gold, just real light around the neck)

He just looks all mixed up! I hope you get a really nice set of birds from this set of eggs! When you get ready to hatch again let me know, I still owe you a few eggs.
All my pens look like the birds are having pillow fights I have never seen such hard molts but the girls that are most of the way done look stunning in their "new clothes" !

Ha ha- well I have 3 or 4 of those confused little guys running around. Then the one in the pic that looks good (?) and another really light silver cuckoo one. I think I am going to sell a couple now and just hold onto these 2 and see how they grow out.
Don't worry about more eggs- I'll be happy if I get a girl or two out of these, and then I have those ones coming from NC.

Becky all the eggs started!
I still haven't gotten the ones from NC. Told them to wait til after today so they wouldn't be stuck at the PO. Unfortunately my other egs got in on the late truck Saturday and I just got them

If the eggs look as good as they did on the auction I will take some pics. You never know this time of year though.

I think I am just going to keep those 2 boys in the pic for now. There is a kid that has been wanting a GC feather-legged roo a little north of me, so maybe I can pawn off some of the extra boys

Not the best picture but this pullet is from my gc group. Is it just me or does she kinda look partridge?
(pardon her tail, she was pecked a bit and it's growing back in)

On another note, I finally have a double dose barred gold cuckoo in my latest hatch!!

By the way it is starting to feather in on the wings I am assuming cockerel and it is French to boot!!
