Really light double barred GCM cockeral :

Close up of his comb. Looks like the start of a sprig unfortunately.

I agree with you on this one . nice comb need a little tidy up at the front and you there.

nice head by the way .

He was dinner when we moved, was fighting with my F0, unfortunately.

I would say his comb was too elongated.

With the exception of the points on the back, I would think this matches more.

This one is from @Moribius18. I don't know how could get any better. He weighed in at well over 7 lbs yesterday and is not a year old yet. The white on his comb is reflection from the sun. I can't get a picture that truly shows how pretty this cockerel is.

sorry my friend this photo is not from the French standard .

the French standard call for;
medium size comb
a strong ,well formed ,rough texture .
strait point ( number is not specified )
the back of it well lifted doesn t touch the neck .
free from any defect like bad formation .too large .double point .sprig .or coronation .

I think the F1 single barred has a better comb to me . just the point need to be strait and the texture need to be rough .

I don't know where I got the picture, but the American Marans standard calls for 5 points, but the rest of what you listed agree with it. Since points are not listed for french, I shoot for 5, on the chance that if they become recognized, they can be shown. His comb had a lower part, but I had 2 inch poultry wire up and he was fighting the F0 through it and sliced the bottom off. Originally it resembled his son's the f2 with the yellow part sliced off.

Him pre injury:

But it gives me a goal to shoot for. The texture is rough on his son's comb though.

here a few photos of the rooster comb I like

his is a F2 from F1 X F1 . his name is Sleek son of Chinatown and a grand son of Charlie my F0.

here the comb I don t like .I find it too arched more like half moon shape ,nice texture

the back of it touch the neck

here another I like from White Storm ( but this year is showing a start of double point on the first point .)

still a lot of work need to be done in this area .

I like the first one, very nice. Second, the gaps are very deep. Third isn't too bad. First one is away from the back of the neck and looks good. I see the second touching. Are they all yours?
