I don't know where I got the picture, but the American Marans standard calls for 5 points, but the rest of what you listed agree with it. Since points are not listed for french, I shoot for 5, on the chance that if they become recognized, they can be shown. His comb had a lower part, but I had 2 inch poultry wire up and he was fighting the F0 through it and sliced the bottom off. Originally it resembled his son's the f2 with the yellow part sliced off.sorry my friend this photo is not from the French standard . the French standard call for; medium size comb a strong ,well formed ,rough texture . strait point ( number is not specified ) the back of it well lifted doesn t touch the neck . free from any defect like bad formation .too large .double point .sprig .or coronation . I think the F1 single barred has a better comb to me . just the point need to be strait and the texture need to be rough .![]()

I like the first one, very nice. Second, the gaps are very deep. Third isn't too bad. First one is away from the back of the neck and looks good. I see the second touching. Are they all yours?here a few photos of the rooster comb I likehis is a F2 from F1 X F1 . his name is Sleek son of Chinatown and a grand son of Charlie my F0. here the comb I don t like .I find it too arched more like half moon shape ,nice texture
the back of it touch the neck here another I like from White Storm ( but this year is showing a start of double point on the first point .)
still a lot of work need to be done in this area . chooks man
