Let's Talk Nice About Our Roosters!

I don't have my roo yet but i picked him out and im in love with him even though i only visited him once, he is gorgeous! anyways, when i was younger i had (my first flock) 6 chickens, 3 roos, 3 hens, the one roo would chase after everyone but me lol.. i would always feed him treats, i had 2 other roos named spot (a white chicken with brown spots) and a black chicken named rocky, they were all super friendly, i just made friends with them by feeding them by hand, now im excited to get my new boy!

Love my boys!
To be completely honest they get treated pretty much like my girls as far as petting and hand feeding and they seem to be fine...fat but fine.:)
I can't say iv'e ever had a problem, no flogging or biting. They still do the silly rooster stuff but that is between them and the hens.
Iv'e got two boys Negan and Prince both Faverolles.
Negan is three, Prince, Negan's son is going on four months. Both the guys were incubator boys so we've been good since day one.

I have raised several different kinds of friendly roosters, with no issue.I have raised a ton and have never had but one issue.
I currently have 6 3 month old birds who have been hand reared.A few have them have been side winging me which i have nerve had and is often a sign of dominance or more so a threat. Some of them have grown outta it and soem haven’t.Being only three months I give them a chance before making a decision.I certainly don’t believe it’s in how you raise them, I think it’s just a common thing for males to be highly aggressive and attentive over their hens. And sometimes I think it can be dealt with in a easy, painful way and sometimes I think some birds cannot be kept.

I've had a couple who were nuts.

But

I have 6 boys who are absolute dolls. I did the no love and cuddles when they were chicks, so I guess they learned I was boss. Now as adults, they love a pet or two. I have one in particular who follows us around like a big puppy. He also trills for us. He could care less about his flock, he thinks he's a human bird thing. His names fat guy or black man.
